A woman fired her gun outside the Parkville License Office in Kansas City, Missouri, reportedly because she was tired of waiting.
The woman, estimated to be in her 40s, entered the building and started cursing when she saw the long line and insisted on being next in line.
The unidentified female asked DMV workers to call their supervisor, who was not on the premises at the time.
Zick says she followed the woman outside to get her license plate number. The woman then pulled out a gun and fired into the air.
The woman then allegedly fired twice into a mulch bed outside the DMV office.
Police arrived on the scene at about 11:25 am and took the woman into custody.
"We're still early on in the investigation, but it is to my understanding that she didn't make it into the DMV," Platte County Sheriff's Office spokesman Major Eric Holland told the Star. "People saw the gun before she got in. The doors were locked and she fired the shots before she got into the DMV."

After careful consideration...I can see her point.
Try finding a jury to convict.

Our DMV has seats and a take a number thing ,you sit there and enjoy the free entertainment of all the people coming and going ,LOL
And I bet she will vote for a president who wants to put government in charge of health care.
I have a hard time being sympathetic to the DMV.
The DMV in Tijeras has more clerks than customers. Can’t recall waiting more than 5 minutes. Serves me right for going at lunchtime.
I think we can all sympathize with her.
It was Kansas. That’s a time honored method to make the little doggies git movin’ along.
And in her defense, she did fire into a mulch bed. That’s the responsible way of firing a warning shot.
Yeah, surprised it hasn’t happened years ago.
I have been to several ‘dmv’ offices in the KC area and they are usually processing people at a decent speed. I’ve waited much longer in a Dr’s office with absolutely no one else in line.
The real problem is people who don’t bring the proper documentation. They are what holds up the line.

Same here. I was just at our BMV last week. My number was 66, and they were just in the 40’s, so I waited over an hour. Like you, I just people-watched. Ours was like the bar scene from Star Wars — all that was missing was the music! LOL!!
That was a classic scene in that movie - especially the part when he accidentally discharges the gun into the ceiling and starts apologizing for it.
DMV is one government department ripe for privatization/decentralization. We already have every high school giving driver’s ed and plenty of private driving schools. Just let them give the final tests and issue the licenses, then register the licenses they issue with the state.
The state can then just do spot checks to make sure they are validating peoples’ identities and testing properly, and if they fail, they lose the privilege of issuing licenses.

As long as she had the proper permit, filled out in triplicate, her PIN and drivers license numbers, birth certificate copy and urine and DNA sample I suspect the DMV workers were fine with this.
Had to enjoy the entertainment last year. Everyone there was speaking Spanish except one angry loud mouth from CA. By the time I got home, I was itching from head to foot. A regular shower didn’t help. It took a shower with dog flea shampoo to finally kill the little creepy crawlies. Washed and dried my clothes twice.
Don’t know why the line is so slow. It took me all of 3 minutes to hand in my paperwork and read the sight test and hand the guy my check. Zip, zip, adios.
