California is real bad. Maybe in some far outlying office it may not be too bad.
Oh, he said that a LONG time ago. He meant it as a joke.
My parents recently moved away from CA, but when they still lived there they would go to the DMV in Quincy, which is a small town in the mountains.
Same deal in rural AZ. Bad back to the point I can't walk 100 yds without having to sit down. A trip to the VA in NV resulted in an application for a handicapped hanger.
Only problem the application wasn't accepted in AZ. The clerk "Sara" faxed the right one to my doc, who filled it out and faxed it back. The clerk called me up when it arrived.
Went down to pick it up and there's about 10 people ahead of me. She recognized me, called me over and gave me the hanger. WAY above what you'd expect from a state worker.
Might as well be.
AZ has a pretty good online system.
You can do a lot of typical stuff like renew registration etc.
They’re even transitioning to a new website where you can transfer a title, print 30 day or 3 day tags and such.
Also if you select a specific branch they’ll give you an estimated wait time.
I still go to a smaller town whenever I have to actually go there in person. Never had to fire shots!
Our DMV is so big and the TV so far away, you can’t hear it.
(And if you grew up in a household like mine, you can read in the midst of any tumult ;-)
She should have made an appointment to fire her gun at the DMV......
Then she would not be arrested.
More Clerks Than Patrons?!?
.
I’m moving,
Got a Room to Rent?
New Mexico,
Okay,
Silver City is
On my Short list.
You can put up a tent out at the ranch. The longhorns are peaceful.
Silver City is nice. Depends on how much population density you want.
I’m looking at a place right now that backs up to the National Forest. No neighbors... now or ever.
Burro Mountain
Homestead has been
suggested to me.
8 miles southeast
of Silvercity.
Nope, it says KC MO. Gal is heap big trouble. CCW or constitutional carry notwithstanding.
While MO refuses REAL ID with the fedgov, we require US PP or legal immigration papers and or long form BC and SSAN card, proof of residence in MO etc. to get a DL. So only illegals with good documents can slip by... I bet they do though.
I dont know if its ok in Texas, but I would drive to a rural county DMV and get my license renewed there......
In Texas that is ok. Driver’s license is issued by the state, not by the county you live in.
My local DPS driver’s licence office is always full of Mexicans and central Americans. I go up north a county or two and there are no lines.
and the germs...just like the SS office.....colds and flu just waiting to be handed to you...
DOR/DMV offices in M are contract facilities, not government offices, so even if posted those with CCW licenses can carry concealed.... I do. RSMO 571.107
Best thing is to do it all online, once you establish residency, pay PP taxes etc, they send you a card in the mail and you logon and pay online, the send you the stuff poste haste.
no matter where you are, where there is a line people are just not thinking....I can be 10 people back and KNOW to have my ID ready and yet, people get up to the top of the line, and they're fumbling thru their wallets/purses to find it....
and then there's the old people who insist on balancing their checkbook right then and there...
.colds and flu just waiting to be handed to you...
Along with all the other diseases being imported along with the new democrat voters.
