The movie Minority Report is frightening and is now coming to fruition.

Lord Jesus, please save my country from those who would destroy it.

Say, “No red flag!” The next rally might be an opportunity to be heard chanting while walking back out in an orderly manner.

No red flag! No red flag! No red flag!

It would be good to have the court records for this available for public scrutiny but, alas, red flag situations are handled in family court and considered private so not available under FOIA.

Very convenient for the state.

This is old news. According to the cops, the deceased fired a shotgun at the cops who were there to serve the order and the cops dispatched him to Moron Heaven.

So, the article doesn’t show “just cause” as to why they wanted to take gun. Was he threatening someone? A slippery slope.

“We must make sure that those judged to pose a risk to public safety do not have access to firearms—and that if they do, those firearms can be taken through rapid due process. That is why I have called for ‘Red Flag’ laws, also known as Extreme Risk Protection Orders.” —President Trump

If the spineless Repulsicans bend to this red flag crap, CW-II is no longer a prognostication. It is a certainty.
A very near certainty.

And face it, folks, the only Republican with b*lls out there is Trump.

I recall a story in Quebec in which an abusive husband was ordered to turn in his guns to the police as he had physically beaten his wife (who went to the local women’s shelter to escape him and his violent behavior). He either did not turn all of his guns in or that he borrowed one from an acquaintance and then proceeded to go to the shelter and shoot and kill his wife in front of the horrified (and defenceless) support worker there. The person who wrote about this story in a national newspaper regarding Canadian gun control efforts simply summed it up with “he didn’t give a damn about the law”.

This is going to escalate, which is what their goal is. To make this country unlivable. Everyone will be on edge.

Time for it to break up into 3. Left Coast .... Northeast ... Everything Else.

Let the Leftists on the Coast and Northeast fend for themselves. And make it so uncomfortable for the liberals, everywhere else, that they move to either place.

The SCOTUS needs to strike down many of these red flag laws. What other constitutional right can a citizen be denied without due process?

Also some states shift the burden of proof to the citizen to show he is not a danger to others. Also there are sometimes differing standards of proof to have your property (ie your guns) restored to you and that can take a lot of time and legal fees.

Also there is no penalty for knowingly filing a false report about someone in several states with these laws. Got a psycho ex girlfriend? Anybody have a grudge against you? They can knowingly file a false report about you, have the cops come kick in your door (maybe shoot you and/or your dog), take your property, and you then have to spend a lot of time and effort to get it back. And no consequences for them even if they did this with malice.

Outrageous violation of citizen’s constitutional rights.

From the comments in the linked article:

Sxxxxx Fxxxx November 8, 2018 at 1:16 pm

“Red Coat” Law.
Police have erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.

Police have kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies with the consent of our corrupt legislatures.

Police have affected to render the Police independent of and superior to the Civil Power.

Police have combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his assent to their acts of pretended Law Enforcement:

For quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock trial from punishment for any murders, thefts, rapes and homicides which they commit on the inhabitants of these States:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefit of Trial by Jury:

Police have abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of their protection and waging War against us.

Police have plundered our homes, ravaged our communities, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

Police have bared arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and brethren, or to fall themselves by their hands.

In every stage of these oppressions we have petitioned for redress but have been told to remain silent or it will be used against us:

Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury and death.

A Police Officer, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to protect and serve free people.

Here’s the Formula: Hatred + Government + Disarmed Civilians = Genocide

What makes the argument so powerful? Two factors.

First, it makes common sense: unarmed defenseless people have no hope against armed
aggressors.

Second, it states the historical truth: evil governments did wipe out 170,000,000 innocent non-military lives in the 20th Century alone.

When the gun prohibitionists quote a statistic about how many people are killed by firearms misuse, the discussion sometimes bogs down into whose crime statistics to believe and how to count crimes vs. the defensive firearm uses.

In the 20th Century:

• Governments murdered four times as many civilians as were killed in all the international and domestic wars combined.
• Governments murdered millions more people than were killed by common criminals.

How could governments kill so many people? The governments had the power - and the people, the victims, were unable to resist. The victims were unarmed.

For the chilling reality after National Gun Control is enacted go to the link below:

http://jpfo.org/pdf02/genocide-chart.pdf

Thanks to SanchoP for finding and posting this ultimate argument against any national gun
control!

If anyone ever reported me under that law, it would permanently end our relationship. Other than whatever legal process was needed to sever all ties, I would never interact with such a person again. I don’t care what explanation or excuse they might try to give, any relationship we previously had would be 100% over.

From the government’s perspective, “What’s the problem?” One dangerous person and a few guns removed. Ends justify the means.
