At what point is it okay to murder another human being?
The code I live by says “Thou shalt not murder.”
I understand that outlawing abortions will make them more dangerous for all involved.
But we mustn’t give tacit approval to murdering the inconvenient.
All I said was making it illegal won’t stop it.
Before 1973, most women who had abortions were already married and obtained abortions from their own doctors...for a price. Single and low income women took their chances.
It was a situation rife with danger and hypocrisy. Do you REALLY want to go back to that? Why? Are you okay with maimed and dead women because you’re opposed to it? That’s where you and I part company. I think it’s wrong but I simply don’t want to see women killed and injured because I disapprove of their behavior.
And there is no evidence that making it legal made it more common. We know how many abortions are performed now only because it’s still legal.
