Well, once I realized I was being programmed into their worldview, I felt like ok that’s the price I pay to watch shows I want, but I’ll be damned if I’m just going to let them jam their junk in my head when I’m not even paying attention or getting anything out of it.
Yeah that Doritos commercial was another wake up point... realizing anybody can spend the money on a 60 second spot to put out whatever subliminal message they want to at any time. I highly doubt a minute spot at 11pm on some obsure over the air tv channel cost too much money, just a few extra bucks in a big ad purchase.
