But seriously, one of the pieces you placed started with a nice bit on the organ, and transitioned into brass. That was when Virgil Fox came to mind.
As to the brass, I enjoyed it, well, until sleepytime, but if that’s what I’m looking for, my usual preferences are along the lines of Mangione, Rienzi, Maynard Ferguson, etc.
