Can people who were vaxed for c.pox get shingles? Apparently they can get c.pox, some of them. Vax isn’t 100% and may wear off as well.

I had pox as a kid (we all did in those days) and a couple of years ago got shingles. Finally went to doc after some days and got an antiviral that has been around for years, safe, but needs to be taken within 24-48 hours of symptoms, so useless for me. But I kept in case they pop up again.

I treated naturally and doc was surprised they resolved so quickly. Not fun, not nice, and I recommend if anyone gets shingles to get that antiviral as soon as symptoms appear. I can find the name of it if anyone wants. It’s cheap, too.

Good question. I don't know - I guess it depends on if the chicken pox innoculation mimics the effects of actually having had the disease.
