This is bizarre. They are up to something. Just not sure what it is.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm in Alameda County and my neighborhood is one of the areas that may/will be affected. There has never been danger of wildfire where I am. I went to a store last night and it was PACKED with people buying water and dry goods like a hurricane was coming.
Now, I fully recognize that weather can and will change BUT there isn't so much as a breeze right now and they're talking about shutting our power off in an hour or so.
I agree that something else is going on but no one seems to care. When I tell them there's something fishy about this their eyes glaze over and just look at me and ask “why would they”. I'm really curious how this will play out.
Regarding the power outages. Not really bizarre at all. In fact, I think smart they shut the power off. They have predicted dry, warm weather with Santa Ana winds and they can get ugly. Sometimes bad people take advantage of that and start fires. And sometimes downed power lines start fires. But when you’ve lived through terrible fires here, you understand. Plus PGE was affected terribly by the fires in Santa Barbara a few years back and by the fires in Nor Cal last year. We were greatly affected by the 2003 California wildfires.
I realize people are quite upset that the power will be off for 24 hours or so, but in all honestly, people should quit whining and prepare for emergencies anyway. That INCLUDES if you need electricity for a medical device. It irritates me to no end the whining about this. Everyone hates the gas and electric companies until they need them. I mean, for crying out loud, we live in a state that has these conditions every year, we live in a state that has earthquakes and the potential for earthquakes. Ugh stop whinging. (not people on this list lol) Just in general. I’m just reading the news.. some guy whining “my CPAP was off”.. well why don’t you have a small generator that can power your bedroom??? What if we had an earthquake and your power REALLY went off???
