I assume that cico = calories in calories out. It has worked for me for 76 years. I was not aware that some refer to cico as some new religion. LOL
I simply stated what has worked for me. Whether or not that qualifies me as a ‘believer’ is for others to decide. ;-)
I do not remember saying anything about ‘exercise’ per se. I referred to ‘input’ and ‘output’.

It worked for you. Fine. You come off as someone who is an expert on human metabolism. Are you?
Do you think it would work for everyone? Why?
By the way, CICO is the term and it is an unsubstantiated claim without RCT support. Of course starvation will cause people to lose weight. Very hard to institute and fails to control insulin resistance. CICO is also variable depending on BMR and brown adipose tissue (BAT) metabolism.
Are you aware of thin outside and fat inside (TOFI)? BMI does not measure that. TOFI often results in sarcopenia in "healthy" BMI as well as that found in heavy metabolically unhealthy people.
Sarcopenia is one of the greatest risk factors for mature and elderly adults in the US today who follow the standard American diet (SAD). They have successfully controlled their weight too. Sarcopenia is responsible for 27% of all caused deaths in the aged. Recent (numerous) studies have found that sarcopenia is now epidemic in very young people because of SAD.
Are you really positive it is working for you?

I have some advice for those of you who get so worked up over a simple post on an internet forum:
I am being sincere. Please? Get a life! ;-)
It is simply a post on a forum. Nothing is carved in stone.
Sheesh!

Im hardly worked up and I have a far better life then you could imagine.
One thing I avoid is butting into subjects I know little about. That is called trolling.
I guess that visceral excitement evaporates when someone challenges cowards like you. ";-)"

Keep it up. You're going to need a new screen name.
I just figure you didn't get the H1B visa and are working for an Indian troll farm.
I enjoy your banter.

You should seek professional, psychological help soon. You take this stuff too seriously. You are going to burst a blood vessel in your brain or maybe a massive heart attack.

I figured you were a complete blowhard. Sorry for working you up and calling you out. Your projecting is worrisome and I don't want an incident at an Indian troll farm. The healthcare is not so great there.
Best.

There you go name-calling again.
I have not called you any names but you insist on throwing around names.
What does that say about you, huh?

I agree that clearing out cellular garbage is important. I think exercise is a far better method of clearing it. In addition, exercise clears glutamate and aspartate from the extracellular matrix.

I had a friend that lost a bunch of weight. He ate a Tostino’s pizza and drank a pint of Jack Daniels every night and fasted the rest of the day.
Crazy dude.
