There is more often than not cat exposure in real asthmatics. Clinically asthma is confused with many other conditions that cause wheezing.

For most of my life I thought asthma was a condition from birth.

I have a triplet/twin sister who was/is that way from birth, which is why I thought that....

Imagine my surprise when one day contractors were installing new carpet at my workplace in the daytime instead of as requested at night and I reacted to the chemicals in the method they were using...

The ER doctor the company dragged me to advised me to carry my inhalant with me at all times as obviously the asthma attack was brought on so quickly.

I advised him that I did not have asthma and never had asthma. He quipped, “you may not have had it in the past; you certainly have it now!”

Was the Center Manager (a GREAT manager!) was so ticked off at the contractor! She was no upset at me or the cost to them for the ER visit, thankfully. :) She was really ticked off because she’d taken great pains to set it up so none of her employees should have been impacted.

She was one of two Center Managers that set the Gold Standard for taking care of employees.
