It’s hard for people to say “Well, I’ve been dead wrong in my beliefs, and my parents were, too, for a lonnng time. But I know better now, and I’ll change my political party beliefs.”

The growing “non-white” is not black, it is Hispanic and Asian, South and East. Both types of Asian, particularly South, have already shown an appetite for conservative politics.
“Hispanic” is not a race, but an ill-defined ethnic descriptor. Many “Hispanics” consider themselves white, particularly those whose families have been here for a couple generations. Hispanics intermarry at a very high rate, mostly with whites. It simply isn’t true that there is an inevitable, growing, monolithic racial group called “Hispanic.” If allowed some breathing room we can assimilate them just like every prior wave of immigrants.
The problem, as always, is massive illegal immigration and too many chain migrants and “refugees” from a few specific Third World countries, which deprives us of the breathing room we need. The Left’s goal has nothing to do with “browning” America; it’s all about diluting our political culture with the more Leftist-friendly culture of the rest of the world.
