According to exiled Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, the situation may be a lot direr than what the CCP is letting on. Guo has a history of accurately blowing the whistle against his former government.
......
Last week, Guo speculated that coronavirus had infected as many as 5 million people in China, with the death toll crossing 200,000.

China’s reactions make no sense if this is *not* true.
Most, if not all, their major cities on lockdown. Boarding people up in their homes. Deploying mobile crematoriums. Full shutdown of internet access for Chinese. Rounding up and arresting anyone that’s provided information on the situation to the internet.
China has all but guaranteed that their economy is crashed.
None of that makes any sense at all *unless* it’s a full blown horror show inside China.
This could be CNN’s attempt to bring down the stock market, even more.
Lot of speculating going on.......
You underestimate the laziness of our media.
I'm not buying it. I think the MSM is weaponizing this illness to negatively affect the stock market in the hopes it will hurt Trump's chances for re-election. A crashing market is the only chance the Democrats have to win.

Downright terrifying.
As a matter of fact, I think he might be downplaying whats going on over there.
The virus was a Chinese bioweapon targeted against Asians.
Who?
Taiwan.
Japan was the intended target before the trucks crashed, the containers spilled and, the locals stole them (private source)
Or Bernie wins with Hillary as Veep (like on TV) and then he dies of the expected heart-attack.
If this is accurate, and patient zero dates back to November, I reckon a doubling of victims an average of every 4 days.
I've been wondering about global security if China really comes apart. At what point do they believe they are so weakened that they fear an attack from the United States on them is imminent and they therefore preemptively launch an attack on us?
If they were planning on releasing it, then yes, they knew it was coming.
Read somewhere this started back in Nov. They were not able to identify it as the virus then, but think it was Nov.

It’s already pretty much accepted that it started back in Nov, with some saying possibly even Oct.
That is possible, but Steven Baird has a more sinister viewpoint in his article in American Thinker today: 2020: The Witching Hour on Steroids, February 24, 2020:
Mixed into this soup is a weaponized coronavirus that is now starting to make its way across the globe (see Tom Clancy's book "Executive Orders"). If you believe that a closed society is willing to disclose the actual number of infections and death statistics, you really have not been paying attention for the last 70 years. Since China believes that it is already overpopulated, as demonstrated by its one child policy, it can more than rationalize wiping out a quarter of its population in order to wreak havoc across the globe. Since no other president has ever exhibited a "clear and present danger," and Trump has, China is looking for a twofer by reducing the number of mouths it has to feed and clearing the road for a more malleable resident of the Oval Office. It's a fascinating article worth reading.
I don’t believe China’s numbers for one minute. But I don’t trust this guy either..
adding:
the two burned out are likely not meant for high volume - run of the mill crematoriums for low volume
the “portable incinerators” are actually industrial furnaces which are built for high volume, sustained operation.
[Xi should have simply honored the 10 year term limits that his predecessors had.]

And sticking with the rule meant Xi would no longer be emperor. But that defeats the whole point of getting to the top. Staying there.
Note that merely sticking with the rule did not mean the Communist Party was safe. Every change in the guy at the top comes with serious ructions, as officials passed over or purged, when the new supremo fills a bunch of key slots with his own men, stew with resentment. The real issue is that the Chinese government consists of autocrats all the way down to the local village chief. And the tradition of these autocrats is to fight each other, on a no holds barred basis, for power.
Ah...veerrry interesting.
indeed
