The driving adventure is at Target again. We’ll get gas next.
At least the Driving Adventure is productive!
The rug has been vacuumed, and in about 90 minutes, I’ll take off my shoes and begin the cleaning of said rug. After that, I’ll take my pills and head down the hall.
After having just checked my email, I found a message from the USPS, and I believe it’s about the list of books and documents I provided yesterday. The closing paragraph was:
“After we review and investigate the information you have provided, we will contact you and work with you until the issue is resolved. We appreciate your patience while we investigate this matter.”
I’ll check the “service request number” in a minute and do a happy dance if it’s the right one.
I sure hope it’s the right thing.
Cheated Death Again: All the Roundabouts!
It IS the right thing! It caught my eye because of the last paragraph, which was very different than anything else they’ve sent. There is a notation on the final form I sent, that some items could not be returned. I expected that. I just hope Charlie Russell isn’t in that bunch.
Or my dad’s old lettering font and lay-out books.
I’d like to go to bed with a cat, but first, I have to take Pat to work.
Enjoy the nap because I suspect I’ll be closing this down and won’t boot back up until morning. I’ll go straight to bed when I’m done with the rug. I’ve done enough for one day.
Have a nice evening!
Welp. So much for a day’s work, yesterday.
The rug looks very nice this morning, but from the color of the water that I threw out, I need to go over it once more before its rolled up. *sigh* I don’t do delays well.
So the rug cleaner is not back in its cubby hole and the vacuum will be back in use in the early morning tomorrow. As soon as it’s light outside, that is.
Then also tomorrow, I’ll try to pack a little before I tackle the rug again, so at least some of the small stuff is out of sight and in places where it can’t be broken. Missed but not hit and broken.
Placido Domingo, kitteh friends!
If you're finding life stressful, consider beating up a stuffed dinosaur.
Maybe that’s what I need to do — rassel a dinosaur — RAWR!
Good morning.
I don’t want to go to church, now that it comes to it, but I will, anyway, because I need to. I’ve missed it terribly.
Sharon began texting me at bedtime, just before I was ready to fall asleep, and I was exhausted as well as still in pain. She wanted to make sure I had gotten the latest emails from the stake presidency as well as the bishop, and then wanted to come tomorrow to take me to show me where the “north building” is. She also asked how I felt about going to church at 1330 but that’s been discussed several times and the answer is still the same: I’ll go to whatever ward meets at 0900.
I’d do it today, because I need to speak to people. I’m tired and still in pain, but I’ll do what I have to do. Tomorrow will be busy again.
I hope you make it and it’s not as difficult as you expect.
It’s not the difficulty. It’s the pain. Usually, when I’m in this much pain, I stay home, because I’m clumsy and stupid, and that’s no way to be in church.
When I take the 0800 dose of morphine, I’ll reassess the situation.
Sounds like a plan! I’m going to Walmart on the quest for the elusive sweatpants.
I hate when I have to make more than one trip to find an item. It makes me not want to buy it, when it comes right down to it.
Good luck on the Sweaty Quest! ;o]
Fail. All they have is Fruit of the Loom 3XL in black.
I could look here for them, if you want. Since I’m sending stuff, anyway, I can send them, too. It would probably be quicker!
It is very kind of you to offer. However, I am going to look at Walmart.com and FruitoftheLoom.com, and if they don’t have them, the boys are just going to have to wear Decent People Day Clothes.
*GASP*
Decent People Day Clothes???
Heaven forbid!
And now, I think the pain has dissipated enough that I can start to get ready to begin to commence the preparation of going to church.
It’s only for an hour, but it takes an hour to get ready, so...
If you change your mind...
Fruit of the Loom’s website had some that appear to be what we want, although we won’t know until they arrive.
If Frank can’t fit in a Youth XXL, he and I will be doing some massive reducing exercise and meals of lentils! Kid’s got a middle like a basketball!
Frank would benefit from any reducing exercise, I suspect.
Welp, almost ready for church. I need to take my pills, then eat a bite and head off so I can sit in silence for a while. Mask in place...
