I haven’t bought or sold anything on eBay in a long time. So imagine my surprise when I got a charge to my PayPal for “seller fees.” I called, claimed a scam, was told I’d get a refund, but I never did.
Then I got another charge. Apparently I’d been signed up for an eBay store. They claimed my account had been compromised, but who gets any benefit signing me up for an eBay store besides eBay?
I canceled and got my refunds into eBay. As soon as they are transferred to my paypal account I’m closing my eBay account.
I’m not a seller, only a buyer. And the few problems I’ve had have been resolved in a hurry. I wouldn’t be able to afford a lot of the things I need or want were it not for eBay.
As far as PayPal is concerned, whenever I get an email that says I owe some money for something, or that my account is compromised, I just forward it to spoof@paypal.com and they take care of it for me.
I can’t afford to have anyone messing with my money, even in small amounts.

Time Running
We tend to spend time running,
Or, glancing at the clock, in waiting,
For some event, or happenstance,
To fill our lives, anticipating,
Perhaps a reward for being patient,
Or seeking satisfaction somehow,
That our needs will have fulfillment,
To bring our future to our now.
Time is but a tap upon resources,
To leave it running without using it,
Is wasteful in the extreme,
Do not go through days abusing it,
But savor it, and use it with delight,
In every moment, and splash of liquid essence,
For every drop of time you waste,
Is one more heartbeat lost to effervescence.
Dissipating into silence, and washing darkness,
With forgetfulness, and memory with sleep.
Time comes running, like a child in joy,
To be caressed and treasured, not slip into the deep.
We are creatures, not of steps but of motion,
A whirlwind of random swerves and miles,
Gathering fruits of storm-drawn blessings,
Having earned them only with our smiles.
