Calling up medical personnel, if I had to guess.
When is the last time (selected reserve) this was done?
I’m so uncomfortable with this!
I’m just paranoid I guess.
Possibly 1 million personnel for up to 2 years? Do they know something we don’t know? These people all have to be paid as well. Is that part of the 2 trillion dollars? If not, where does that money come from? Where does any of this money come from? They don’t have it. We don’t have it. Are they going to start confiscating it from banks and 401k’s?
And then there is the news tonight that Trump may have effectively ended the fed by using SPV’s.

DFAS sent an email on behalf of the Army to all retired medical personnel asking for voluntary recalls. They were asking for specific MOS’s, but they did say that other medical personnel would be considered.
A reason to use the military on the border, a good move. South America I believe has not even reached their tipping point yet and it could be very bad and we need enforcement on the border at the ready
There but by the grace of God go I...I’m over the age limit and could only possibly contribute another patient.
Weekend warriors suddenly without fulltime jobs now finding out they have a new fulltime job.
I see this as a follow up to this message sent out to all Army retirees 2 weeks ago. From what I seen here, it was NOT sent to members of the IRR, thus they can be recalled by the President’s proclamation you posted.
Here is the full text of the e-mail I received from the Defense Finance and Accounting Service:
The U.S. Army is reaching out to gauge the interest of our retired officers, noncommissioned officers and Soldiers who would be willing to assist with the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic response effort should their skills and expertise be required.

Putting military medical people into the fight for shortages of medical people in specific locales. Military people can be ordered to go where needed. Getting the private medical industries to move their people around the country from places with little human resource shortages to places that need more medical personnel is legally more problematic for the federal government to do, than using the command authority of the military. That is my guess what Trump is looking at.
(via ABC News):
More than 9,000 retired soldiers have responded to the U.S. Army’s call for retired medical personnel to assist with the response to the novel coronavirus pandemic, as hundreds of active duty soldiers deploy to support Army field hospitals in New York and Seattle.
