Because people who own property on Cape Cod and pay heavy taxes for the privilege have as much right to access their property as anyone, even if they’re not year-round residents.

Having said that I’ve spent as much time on the Cape as anyone and can’t say I understand the appeal.

I agree. I can see keeping tourists out (like they’ve done in the Keys) but property owners should not be restricted except if they’re sick...
