Charles Calvin is a volunteer firefighter in New Chicago, Indiana, and unbeknownst to him, he received his first stimulus payment from the federal government on Friday.

“I went to the ATM at the Family Express, and once I withdrew $200 out of my account, I looked at the available balance still left in my account,” he said.

He said his account had $8.2 million in it. He was only supposed to receive $1,700.

EFTs and other things can cause weird things to happen. But they tend to get cleaned up quick. Like this was. I’d bet in this case something went wrong in the read and all the stimulus deposits for that bank went into his account. Then the verification process hit, somebody went “WTF” and fixed it.

They do have a process you can go through if you dont get it tomorrow

I will just warn people that sometimes their verification system is a nightmare. I dont know if the issue was because I had a freeze on my credit report or what but when I had to verify it wouldnt go through and had to do a mail in thing

SO.....if you have to go through their verification process hopefully they wont use credit information.

Maybe his SS number is only one digit off from some prominent democrat that the money was intended for.
