Maybe I am reading it wrong, but, IMO, to shock the world it would have to be someone totally unexpected to most people. And, from your list, I think the only one that fits that is Gates. Most view him as a good guy trying to help people.
I don’t think Gates is a household name to much of the world. I would not be so sanguine of his popularity, either.
