He’s a fallible man and he says and does dumb things all the time.

Yes. By his own admission he is going to make some mistakes. The fact that he can admit that is one of the more endearing things about him. You aren't EVER going to hear Dr. Fauci make such an admission.

It wasn't even that big a mistake. He just blurted out something where it was not really clear at all what he meant.
