Yes, but the pitch was going 50 miles per hour. He had to power it all himself. When the Dodgers abandoned Brooklyn for Los Angeles, they played in the Memorial Coliseum, with a 251' left field fence. However, the wall was 40 feet high. So, it would have been a ground rule double in the Dodgers old park.
