That one has always been good enough for me LJ. Thanks for the reminder.
Re POTUS Can...
Thats true! Thanks, Xone!
Q
Thank you for the psych lesson.
My attempt to inject humor into the discussion of personality tests was apparently lost through ineffectual communication. ((sigh))

Interesting. Thanks.
(My 1st thought when I hear used cars and crime in the same story is : Awan bros.)
That list could be shortened to contact trace Democrats. But most of them are so stupid I guess those setting up tracing would need a detailed list like yours.
Treason doth never prosper,
whats the reason?
For if it prosper. . .
None dare call it treason!
LOL
That Jury Selection process is going to be fun.

This just in, after Nancy called Trump "morbidly obese", she declares Stacy Abrams as "svelt". Nancy also was required to scrape the human-doo off off her designer high heels before entering the House of Representatives. The huma-doo was picked up while strolling through her own District.
“If this is confusing for us, it must be worse for the people of Alabama who see a President they like tearing down one of their all-time favourite senators.”
Agreed. And I get so many responses saying it’s just theater. But the question is, why do something that is potentially so destructive to the Alabama Senate race just for theater? especially considering that Trump had already established his ‘feud’ with Sessions long before this Senate race and doesn’t need to continue it to try to establish Session’s independence from Trump. That’s already been established. This is overkill.
So it’s not necessary from that front and only serves to do damage to the Alabama Senate race - dividing the GOP as it does. So, if there’s a purpose to the current flame war between the two, it’s something other than establishing the narrative of Sessions independence. That’s already been established. And the purpose must be important enough to justify the apparent risk it places on the Alabama Senate race. I haven’t heard any convincing explanations of what that purpose might be.
Nancy suggests Abrams USSS name should be "Svelt".
Okay, more #planefag stuff...
First, there were two A-12's.
One was built by Lockheed in the late 50's for the CIA to replace the U-2 under something called Project Oxcart. First flights were in 1962 from Groom Lake, 15 were built total and all were operated from Groom Lake by the CIA. (The name got changed from Oxcart to Cygnus right after the first pilot saw the thing)
SR-71 was begun for the AF after the A-12 Cygnus and first flew in 1964. The Blackbird had a crew of two (A-12 was one only), was longer, heavier and slightly slower than the Cygnus but had a greater operational range.
Kinda the same only different.
The other A-12 was a McDonnell-Doug/General Dynamics project for the Navy to replace the A-6. It was a flying wing only swoopier/more stylish than B-2, all the stores were internal and it was named the A-12 Avenger II.
Well, the Avenger got behind schedule, over budget and overweight, got cancelled before the design was finalized and the only people made anything out of the deal were lawyers. (Okay, there are probably some concept drawings and plastic model kits out there...)
JMHO it was doomed from the start. It didn't say "Grumman" on a Navy aircraft???

He has some power, but it's indirect. Historical examples in traffic, 55 MPH speed limit back in the 70's, and 0.08 as the drunk limit, all state imposed, but under threat of withholding of federal funds.
US DOJ has some power in federal courts as well, and POTUS is signaling which side the DOJ will take in the lawsuits. That too is pressure on the governors to ease up.
It is generally true that POTUS can't order the governors. He can, and will shortly, lift the national COVID emergency. The states have used that as cover. And too, when states have asked for POTUS to recognize the emergency declared in the respective states, he has gone along. This releases Stafford Act funds to the states. He can't undo the declarations he has made, but he can case the outlays under Stafford to be micromanaged at the federal end.
The only possible theory I’ve come up with regarding the current Trump/Sessions feud - and it’s an incomplete theory - is that the plan is to actually have Sessions win the runoff. I don’t know how that can be guaranteed, but supposing Sessions wins the runoff, one would think Trump would “have no choice” but to support Sessions in the general election, along with a public reconciliation of some sorts. How that would further the plan is unclear but maybe that’s the goal. It’s an incomplete theory at best, but it’s all I’ve got.
He has one of the most punchable looking faces I’ve ever seen.
Reverse psychology! I’d feel better if Sessions wins too.
