Big distance between smallpox, and the China flu. Smallpox is roughly 1000 times more deadly. Close to a 30% lethality rate one smallpox, and 0.03% on the Wuhan virus.

True. But it took decades to develop and fully test that vaccine, with plenty of time for testing. This coronavirus one is being done in such haste, it's almost guaranteed to show some nasty effects later.
Not to mention, small pox is a deadly killer. Coronavirus doesn't even come close.
Almost every one under 40 who gets coronavirus will survive it. Not so with small pox. You have a very good chance of dying whether you are under 40 or not.
