What's a decent internet browser?
Posted on 05/31/2020 4:40:27 PM PDT by LouAvul
I use google but am tired of their left wing/commie bias. Now they've got this message: We stand in support of racial equality, and all those who search for it
Yeah, I'm in favor of racial equality, too. But we reached the Point Of Diminishing Returns in this whole civil rights debacle about 50 years ago.
What's a secure, reliable internet browser?
Thank you.

Chrome used to be. Now Chrome is all messed up. I would say go with Edge. Second choice, Firefox
Edge, like Brave, switched to a Chromium engine. I think all thats left is Chrome/Chromium, Netscape, Safari and IE.

I meant Firefox when I entered Netscape.

Google Chrome is a browser. I know that. What pissed him off, though, (appropriately) was Google's virtue signalling. One will see that if one uses Google as a search engine regardless of the browser used. If you want to avoid it you have to use a different search engine.

Tor. I’ve also heard good things about Brave, but I haven’t used it.

Lately I’ve been thinking of creating a local ‘hosts’ file that overrides the standard ‘google’, ‘youtube’, etc, and sends me to their neutral competitors. I’m thinking that would really help me to move away from them all.
In fact ... I just added the following to my hosts file:
40.89.244.232 google.com
Now it takes me to DuckDuckGo. :)

Browser? Or search engine?
I like Brave for the browser, and Duck Duck Go for the search.

Tried Brave, but it doesn’t want to load eBay, for some reason. I’ll wait until it is fixed, properly.
Until then, still using Firefox.
