One would hypothesize that, being MUCH more distant from the Sun than Earth, Jupiter’s effective temperature would be cooler not hotter. I wonder what the temperature is at night!??

Those Jupiterians and their big SUV’s REALLY screwed up their planet with global warming

Jupiter radiates more energy than it receives from the Sun.

1. Like the Earth, it has a core containing radioactive elements whose decay releases heat.

2. Also, it hasn't finished contracting, and that heat of contraction likewise releases tremendous quantities of energy.
