Just stick your mask out in the sun if you’re worried that it’s harboring the virus.
Even better.
Can we assume this is an Alinsky tactic?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rules_for_Radicals
“heighten local awareness of similarities among residents and their shared differences with outsiders”.[4] This was one of Alinsky’s most powerful tools in community organizing; to bring a collective together, he would bring to light an issue that would stir up conflict with some agency to unite the group. This provided an organization with a specific “villain” to confront and made direct action easier to implement. These tactics as a result of decades of organizing efforts, along with many other lessons, were poured into Rules for Radicals to create the guidebook for community organization.[3]
Im glad that you mentioned that because there may be a problem with that idea.
After doing some Googling, Ive been getting uncertain, eg. "probably," answers about sunlight killing virus.
The following article guesses that UVC in sunlight will kill Coronavirus.
Does ultraviolet (UV) light kill the coronavirus?
However, Dr. Mercola tells us that UVB in sunlight, which stimulates skin to produce vitamin D3, does not penetrate clothing.
Essential Information About Vitamin D! (part 5 of 7)
The problem is that while the UVC article says that the stronger UVC light in sunlight destroys viruses, it doesnt mention anything about clothing penetration.
And while this reference says that UV light (what about UVA, B & C?) penetrates clothing, we know that UVB is blocked by clothing.
Do UV Rays Penetrate Through Clothing?
My conclusion that putting mask in sunlight to disinfect it probably puts you in a lower-risk group for getting the virus in my non-medical opinion.
On the other hand, how long does mask have to be exposed to sunlight to effectively kill virus, especially during a cloudy day in the northwestern states?
Grrr.
