Help me out here. If they’re sealed why are they being revealed?
I can’t give a definitive answer, but my take on it is that the information is available to the lawyers of the accused. You can’t defend your client if you don’t know what he’s been accused of. So if Dershowitz was accused then his lawyer has access.
The question that leaves me with is why he would confirm what was in it. I’m not sure if that’s legal. At the very least, it seems like a breech of ethics.
But this is all guesswork on my part. I have no expertise in this area.
