CNN — Nick Cordero, a Broadway actor who had admirers across the world rallying for his recovery, has died after a battle with COVID-19 according to his wife, Amanda Kloots.
He was 41.
"God has another angel in heaven now," Kloots posted on her official Instagram account Sunday night. "My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth."
Kloots has been regularly updating her social media accounts with news of her husband's ups and downs as he battled the virus and complications, including an amputated leg and potentially needing a double lung transplant. She said Cordero battled the disease for 95 days.
She shared on social media that Cordero spent some time on a ventilator, suffered multiple COVID-19 complications, including mini-strokes, blood clots, sepsis, and a tracheostomy. In April had to have his leg amputated. He had been on a ventilator and unconscious, and his lungs were so heavily damaged that a double lung transplant was being explored.

I’m still not buying. I’m with John of John and Ken, KFI 640. 99% won’t die, so many of them won’t even know they got it. Can’t trust anything from the LEFT including the media. We would all know someone personally who died. All of us, not one or 2 of us and not counting people over 80 in a nursing home with underlying conditions.
This is a hoax. It’s CNN and the LEFT. I think Trump realizes it and doesn’t care anymore. And I don’t either. Hoax all over the place.

Too many people actually believe this Hollywood created clap trap.
No underlying health issues that I have read of but he was among the group whose blood platelets become very active from the immune reaction to the virus. He had excessive clotting which led to one of his legs being amputated, and probably also the reason for suffering serious lung damage. His lungs supposedly looked like that of a 50 year smoker.
I have believed this was a HOAX from the very beginning, I don’t put ANYTHING past these bastards!!
I am betting he had underlying conditions he did not know about!!
Sounds like other things were in play here. This description is unlike any of the others...amputation? lung transplant? Yes I know it attacks the lungs but to this degree..? What did they do for him when he was diagnosed? What regimen of drugs did they give him? etc. Has to be more to this.

None that they’re reporting. His was an early case...back when the doctors were still learning about the disease... and he was apparently put on a ventilator pretty quickly. They found more recently that, in many cases, there are better treatments to try first before the ventilator.

Two mistakes. First, no man is an angel. Second, no person except Mary Immaculate is going to heaven is 100%.
CNN. Fake news. Suspicious that mass media (CNN, CBS, etc.) are broadcasting the death of a famous person by Covid 1984. (Yes, Covid 19 is being used by selfish politicians.) Cordero had an underlying condition that led to lung transplants but not mentioned by CNN.
Telling people to wear a mask is motivated by fear.
Avoiding all viruses (MERS, SARS, Covids, etc.) is ethical.
You are playing fast and loose with the numbers. Your advice is appropriate to those over 65 with multiple comorbidities, not the general population.
Don’t know of this guy but 95 days, he certainly put up a fight! But sounds like they didn’t know what they were actually dealing with.

J Crit Care Med just published an article that the death rate is those with SARS is equivalent to other ARDS. So it’s not the vent that is the problem. I do agree however early on bypassing numerous measures like HFNC snd NIPPv was the wrong thing to do

You mean - This disease ‘can kill you’ . Not ‘this disease ‘will kill you’.
I take precautions. But they are the same precautions I’ve been taking since my bone marrow transplant. I will not give up any more of my quality of life nor will I live in fear. Period.
