Everyone can laugh at me. I don’t care. My husband has COPD and heart disease. If I get COVID19, he gets it. If he gets it, well, we are minimizing that chance as much as possible. We have been staying put for over 3 months. An occasional drive-thru or visit from my son is about the extent of our interactions with others. Getting groceries delivered is probably our maximum exposure. Staying home is not hurting me but going to the store could kill someone I love, for no good reason.
I do not judge others for how they are dealing with this. I support communities being fully open. We are capable of being responsible for our own safety. I wish I would get the same courtesy.
Exactly. We have already had one death in my wife’s family from this. We don’t want to be the next.
You won’t get any courtesy here, m’am. Everyone is too emotional about everything.
I would hope no one is giving you any problems for your choices. The only people I have seen here take resistance for their position are those that demand everyone take measures to make them feel better. You do not fall in that category. I wish you and your husband luck and good health through this pandemic and am glad you have found a routine that makes you comfortable. I hope you are reaching out to family and friends through technology as isolation has damaging health consequences as well. We have found family zoom meetings to be useful as we could not travel to be together. God bless you
You’re being completely sane. No one person here would criticize you for your precautions.
It’s great that there’s a whole army of folks out there harvesting food, packaging it, trucking it to stores, then others still delivering it to your home.
It’s a great country!
