If I cashing in all the coins in my coin jars, I could remedy this situation.
I was just thinking the same thing. I have many containers of coins. I keep meaning to sit down and sort through to see if I have anything of collectible value, but I really don't know what I'd be looking for. I should just get rid of them, but hate giving a percentage to a Coinstar.

You probably will not find anything of collectors value.
I had a couple of coins that I took into a coin dealer. There was one nickel I got 10 cents for. I got a couple dollars for some large Mexican coins with a high silver content. That was from a 50 year old collection.
Local Fred Meyer (Kroger) has self serve coin sorters. I think they take 3%. Our credit union is free for members.

I have a small savings account at a local bank that has a change machine, so I don’t have to pay a fee.
