The problem will ‘solve’ itself if we were to bring back public whippings, stocks, gallows and mandatory attendance.
We had some of the above in the Parochial Schools of the 50s (been there/done that)
For ‘peaceful, women of God’ the Nuns had some creative ideas which must have been passed down through the ages.
Today if you swat your kid on the backside in public one is liable to be jailed or at least get a ‘visit’.
The way the Nuns acted in ‘my day’ would more than likely result in JAIL terms today...
AND they had about 99.9% backing of the parents...
OTOH, ‘we’ were ready for USN/USMC boot camp after that tour of duty....
