I agree. The meme, words have been around a while. I am not sure they are even theologically accurate but they comfort people, thus the cringing over re-application. Thank you for pointing out it is only a poem, not the Word of God.

God’s Own Words from the Bible should provide greater comfort than a mere man-made poem, IMO.
There are several authors that claim they penned “footprints” after having a dream and that Gods Own Hand seemed to guide theirs as they wrote it. I find that quite heretical. I’d provide sauce, but it’s not worthy of effort, a quick search is all that’s needed.
This should be a lesson in being mislead.
