Apparently, for Peoria, that’s called the weekend. It’s as dangerous as Chicago.
Lived here In Peoria almost 50 years. Like any city the violence is confined mostly to specific areas. Last night though happened on riverfront which is a popular public area, particularly in summertime. This Incident happened at 4:00 a.m.
Gangs have been moving down from Chicago and each year seems to get progressively worse. As in Chicago, avoid those Bad areas and for the most part you’re ok. It’s like two different worlds in the same town.
