The 2005 study.

Here it is publshed from the NIH.

Again in 2013:
My thoughts of the moment?
Stay safe, y'all. Get your immune systems in shape.
Protect the at risk with all that you've learned.
(Especially if this goes into extra innings / weapons.)
You had best become a vaccine expert if you're
contemplating becoming a guinea pig for an novel cold
vaccine! (*Hint, if you do, it will likely change your mind.)
Help free the rest to get ready for whatever is coming.
Fight for truth, even if your voice shakes!
Pray.

were from the CDC and an outfit in Montreal. Fauci did not necessarily know about the publication in 2005. The link https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1232869/
is to PubMed out of the Natl Library of Medicine. It physically sits on the NIH campus, but that’s about it. Publications pertaining to infectious disease could possibly be forwarded as a courtesy to the head of the NIAID, but that’s about it, my guess. At some point, some researcher or colleague or lawyer probably provided Fauci with the publication title or the publication per se (when?), but that is not a given.
