The desire to virtue signal is strong. Part of this virtue signaling will be to denigrate those who have different views and refuse to wear a mask. Make no mistake about it - a great many people who see you without a mask think that you are a disgusting person and will act accordingly.

I’m frankly a little confused about recent events.
Death rate yesterday (per worldometer) was quite high — highest in almost two months. And the new obligatory phrase is “it’s going to get worse before it gets better”.
We have good weather and we have increased herd immunity. Some stuff has opened up but as far as I know most of the country is still somewhat locked down and not really behaving like “normal”. So why does this seem to be getting worse? Makes no sense to me.
I have a feeling this article will be “disappeared” soon, if the left is intent on more lockdowns before the election:

HA! I didn’t grow up in poverty as a preacher’s kid, being bullied for my clothes, etc., without learning how to deal with bullies. BRING. IT. ON.
President Trump calls what you're calling the flu, the Chinese plague, and it has become a central issue in the election. He also wears a mask when appropriate. If you aren't satisfied with his response so far, what would you have him do differently?
