His curve was a little too flat.

White House coronavirus task force member and diehard baseball fan Dr. Anthony Fauci threw the first pitch at the long-awaited 2020 MLB season opener — as the New York Yankees took on the World Series champion Nationals.

But Fauci, 79, should have stuck to infectious diseases — as he fumbled the ball straight into the ground.

Wearing a Nationals jersey and a red face mask, the 5-foot 7-inch righty bounced the ball on the grass, crossing the first base line, far wide of home plate.

Where is the “Black Lives Matter” sign?

You can’t have baseball without one!

Way outside to the left. At 59, I think I could still throw a better pitch than that.

Imagine the narcissist mind that craves attention so much that he exceeds his capabilities but doesn't care as long as he's in the spotlight.

Just the kind of mental state you want for someone supposedly working for citizen's health. /sarc

George W. Bush did pretty well. He threw out the first pitch after 9/11 happened, at a World Series Yankees game. The newspapers reported it appeared to be a strike.

Was there supposed to be no one in the stands? I didn’t see anyone except some players and maybe the ground crew. Fauci was in a hurry he had a centerfold shot for Sports Illustrated that he was running a little late.

What a disgrace.

I am sickened by this throw. This is the best MLB could do on opening day?

What sickens me more is watching the Yankees kneel before the National Anthem tonight.

NO WORDS!!!

Even my 8-month old grandson would have done better.

In all fairness, the league should have taken his age and height into consideration, and had him throw the first ball from 2 feet away.
