This not a fact, it is a number reported by media outlets being informed by government entities of the information they received from medical care staffers in the Accounts Payable departments of hospitals in their State (and/or, nearby States. YMMV).
It is the result of “data stacking” which has been rampant during this bad flu season.
Michigan admitted to such when it pointed to large increases in cases/death every Thursday.
In their own release, it was stated that , “Thursdays are the day we use for catching up on the records.”
That is “data stacking”.

Can those of you who work in hospitals that are manipulating the numbers somehow document what is going on without compromising your jobs? There is some protection if enough clinicians blow the whistle.

The numbers are reported to the state. As with any government agency it takes force for them to verify etc. the proper thing to do would be retrospectively assign deaths to the day it happened as they do in Georgia however that would take too much of the precious bureaucrats time
As I posted on another thread. We see not seeing a rise in daily cases. In fact the seven day average is flat or maybe starting to fall. Although worldometer from an accurate count number is suspect we can glean trends accurately from it
Becuase the leading indicators are starting to fall in number and the laggin indicators continue to rise or means we are just beyond the apex.
When leading and lagging indicators move different directions it properly demonstrates the emergence of a peak or a trough on a curve.

16 have died. That is a .006 mortality rate.
4,040,000 people have tested positive for COVID.
Children make up 6% of COVID infections.
Let's say 36,000,000 people end up getting COVID (9X the number who have already caught it)
If 6% are children that would make 2,160,000 kids who get COVID.
If .006 of them die that would be 130 kids who die of COVID.
Of children who die of COVID, do you know what the #1 co-morbidity is??????...........OBESITY
How many MORE kids are going to die because their obesity gets worse not going to school or playing sports?
How many MORE kids than 130 will end up getting depression/anxiety/etc... and committing suicide due to lonliness and isolation.
These people are killing our children.
