This is the kind of thing that happens to Libertarians.

Our daughter was bitten years ago by a mother racoon and, until the animal was located and tested negative (that’s another story), had to have several anti-rabies shots. They’re no longer given in the abdominal muscles. She received them, I recall, in the deltoid muscle. Still painful, but not like the legendary torture we were warned about as kids.
