Accelerants are not needed to start fires. I’m in the coastal fog belt, and things were frighteningly dry last week. East wind, humidity less than 10% at times. Much of Oregon timber country is spotted with tinder-dry piles of logging slash. It sits there in the sun all summer, waiting for the rainy season when it can be safely burned. Dry grass lines the roads. Someone intent on setting the woods ablaze wouldn’t have to do much.

Chainsaws in Oregon are kinda like spare tires. If you’re out in the woods, it’s good to have one. In some areas, people are required to carry axes and shovels for putting out small fires. It’s just the reality of timber country.

Accelerants are not needed to start fires.

Exactly. Plus, does anyone stop to think about the plausibility of these conspiracy theories?

What possible reason would there be for pre-staging gas cans all around the county?

Couldn't the Antifa troops dispatched to start the fires bring their own accelerants?

Wouldn't that be easier than having to hunt around for where the advance team had stashed them?
