Electoral College
Clause 2. The Electors are chosen by the states but a pledged to a particular candidate. The candidate does not select the Electors.
I’ve been one. I know how it works.
“The Electors are chosen by the states but a pledged to a particular candidate. The candidate does not select the Electors.”
In each state, each candidate submits a slate of electors to represent him/her. The slate of electors that are sent to the Electoral College is determined by the popular vote winner in that state.
