If you do a foreign adoption through an accredited agency, you have to pass a home evaluation, and the child also is checked out by the agency that he or she is an orphan.

It is quite complicated...not like movies where you see a kid and take it home.

Of course if you are a rich Singer like Madonna who wants to show off, you just go to the orphanage and grab the kid you like, even though, like the one she snatched, the kids had a family but with mom dead he was given to the orphanage because formula is too expensive, but once the kid is 3 or 4 the parents claim him back.

True, some babies of single moms are given up at birth, because of poverty. And some older kids are given up when relatives have no money.

So before any criticism you need to check the agency and why the children were put up for adoption, and were they babies or older children...also are the two kids siblings, who are usually placed together if possible.

And remember...there are a lot of adopted kids out there whose parents will get angry if the Dems push the meme too much.

I don't know where you got that information, but that isn't true. Several couples at my church adopted children and it was a long and expensive process to adopt an American child. One couple finally gave up and adopted from a foreign country.
