I’ve added all the remote sensors to it as well, including the outdoor air
quality monitor.
The 4K security cameras I’ve selected and installed were more a
recognition of Dad’s risks due to age, than any pressing security concerns.
He’s no longer in the mood to be out and about, taking the usual risks.
So we have a sky cam (and PTZ rabbit and quail cams) that are great
windows upon our local wildlife and the neighborhood. Extended family
have access to a couple of our outdoor cameras with two way audio as
well.
All the feeds fill 4K monitors in his office, my office, the living room...
Tech these days lets you have views your home designer couldn’t pull off.
On a clear night you can see the big dipper on the sky cam... ;-)
I can safely say that having such views and tools and toys helps lift Dad’s
mood regularly, when he’s of an age where his friends and family are
passing, one by one.

Love my ambient weather station.... no cameras. It assists my gardening drip system.
My drip system is connected to a B-Hyve Automated hub that reads my weather from the ambient. Tech has made my vegetable gardening easier and efficient water savings.

I also have a home weather station. A David brand this time, but I used to have a lower-end Ambient Weather station. Nice to be able to track weather stats and see what’s really going on vs. what was forecast. Which is often quite different LOL.
