Two remarks on this story.
1) TURN OFF THE KEY and remove it from the ignition slot, With newer autos, press the START button to kill the engine. Turn OFF the car!
2) I have twice driven cars for sale on a test drive in excess of 120 MPH with the salesman in the seat next to me. The only comment was along the lines of: ‘she’s a goer!’ (Porsche and Aston martin if you were wondering).
TURN OFF THE CAR!
What the hell is wrong with the salesmen who let this maniac take a test drive in anything?!
Used car salesman?
Can’t imagine an actual dealership letting him test drive a car.
Had a story down here some years ago where a used car salesman ended up in similar situation - the “test driver” came in with no shirt and no shoes, but maybe he had an honest face...
“Any car salesman that permits a person to take a test drive that looks like that should be immediately fired, if he survived.”
no kidding ...
Shades of Mad Men.
:-)
Was at the local Mercedes dealer and was looking at an AMG S63 in their lot. Salesman said “want to take it for a drive?” I politely declined given the heavy traffic that day - okay, given that there was any traffic on the road at all! Would have been notified to get in an accent with that car.
It was a Subaru WRX STI.

IMO, not recommended. One time I had the engine die while I was driving on the highway. VERY difficult to steer with the power steering out and you had to stand on the brakes to slow down. Scary situation.
Dude looks Breaking Bad
I’m ready to buy one.
I just lack the $42,000. It’s probably around here somewhere. I’ll just go for the top model (that I can see online - $41,000 and change). $41,695
