They should be important everywhere: you can disavow family or friends- but neighbors are there no matter what you do.

My take...... as is very common, they have a house in town and one on the lake. They are selling their house in town and will live on the lake.

I think thar perhaps today, there are not as many Kingsport people with lake houses and home in town for the simple reason lake houses have become permanent residences. ......... but I don’t know that.

No, my wife is not on Free Republic. Until she retired, she was apolitical in her public view. She is conservative and has become much more so since President Trump was elected.
She has been keeping a very low profile during the Covid months but has begun to get out more and more. She will come to lunch if we have one. Although she is not a Freeper she did attend two Free Republic Bush inaugural balls and was with me having lunch when Jim Robinson wheeled up to join us at the Holiday Inn.

Not lately. I used to meet up with FReepers at 2016 stops in Florida. Media have to stay in the media pen for much of the event so crowd inter-action is cut down.
