QAnon Followers Are Hijacking the #SaveTheChildren Movement
new york post ^ | 10/18/2020 | Kevin Roose

snip....Fans of the pro-Trump conspiracy theory are clogging anti-trafficking hotlines, infiltrating Facebook groups and raising false fears about child exploitation.

Snip...Some anti-trafficking experts worried that social networks, in an attempt to clamp down on QAnon, might inadvertently hurt the legitimate organizations working to end trafficking. Recently, Facebook briefly disabled the #SaveTheChildren hashtag after it was flooded with pro-QAnon content. (A Facebook spokesman said: “We temporarily blocked the hashtag as it was surfacing low-quality content. The hashtag has since been restored, and we will continue to monitor for content that violates our community standards.”)

snip...“It’s probably one of the key things that’s attractive about QAnon,” said Marc-André Argentino, a doctoral student at Concordia University who studies QAnon’s social media presence. “Everyone agrees that child trafficking is very bad, and the argument QAnon makes is, ‘If you’re against us talking about this, you’re in favor of child trafficking.’”

Sometimes, QAnon followers spin factual information in a way that serves their aims. Last week, an Associated Press article about a $35 million Trump administration grant to organizations that house trafficking survivors became one of the most-shared stories on Facebook, after QAnon groups picked it up and cited it as evidence that President Trump’s secret crusade against elite pedophiles was underway.

Other times, the strategy involves latching on to conspiracy theories and inserting QAnon talking points. Weeks ago, influencers on TikTok and Instagram began speculating about baseless allegations that Wayfair, an online furniture site, was trafficking children under the guise of selling expensive cabinets. The conspiracy theory went viral, and QAnon believers began sprinkling in their own supposedly incriminating details. They claimed, falsely, that a Wayfair employee had once been photographed with Ghislaine Maxwell, who has been charged with recruiting underage girls for Mr. Epstein.

Is it really that easy to shut down a hash tag. We can probably shut down Joe Biden vote discussion using this trick

Q was writing about Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein by name and their crimes a year before they were arrested. Everyone else was screaming conspiracy.

When you’re over the target , you take lots of flak.

Especially When you’re getting very close to democrat corruption , and crimes

If we want to talk about the exploitation of children , we need to look no farther than Andrew Weiner and Bill Clinton

If you have any kind of soul , you could never do evil things - like force yourself on somebody , especially a child , or for that matter , kill a baby

Qanon is excellent. And aims squarely at the corrupt target. The swamp and it’s minions and is unrelenting.

So that they’re getting boogeyman status by the press is both telling and interesting at the same time

The New York Times likes to say that Q's anti-trafficking message is partisan and that it only goes after democrats.

That is a lie. Both R and D are involved. Think Epstein flight logs. This is the least partisan issue that Q posts about.

Sidenote: Many so-called 'children's' organizations are cover for child sex trafficking. Its no wonder they are against Q's illuminating them.

These people are sick.

It’s the New York Times, not the New York Post. Big difference.

Sidenote: Why is the 'satanic child sex trafficking' the only example the derps use to disparage the Q movement, when there is so much more?

I think they don't want to talk about the so much more.

Think about THAT.

Yes, Somebody sent me their movie. Full of every odd thing that happened in history, but never actually makes or closes any any logical argument, just one crazy thing after another connected by the thinnest thread running on to the next oddity without explaining anything.

Their methodology seems to be “weird things have happened and people say strange stuff, therefore believe us.”

Its okay to look at more than one 'movie' before you make up your mind.

Be open minded and think for yourself. Trust yourself.

That is the Q message.
