Gloria Estefan followed the pandemic rules. She claims she “rigorously” complied with health and safety measures, limiting her exposure to others. But the 63-year-old singer admitted during an Instagram video chat that she was “one of the victims of Covid.”
Despite her adherence to protocols, Estefan said she dined outdoors at a restaurant in Miami with three family members. She tested negative days later, but soon started feeling ill and got the classic coronavirus symptoms of losing taste and smell, along with a cough and dehydration.
“The only thing that I can imagine happened is that someone came up to me when I was eating and tapped me on the shoulder,” she said. “They were very close, they had no mask and they were telling me beautiful things — but that’s the only thing that I have done outside my enclosure here, my quarantine.”
She continued, “I was very lucky. But I just wanted to share with you that I was in quarantine, and one day I went out and met with one person who was not wearing a mask. I even held my breath through their talk, but something must have happened there,” she said.
Estefan fell ill in early November, spending two weeks in isolation on the second floor of her home. She credits vitamins for her ability to avoid the disease’s worst aspects.
“Fear was my biggest problem,” Estefan said. “We’ve got to grab fear and shake it and just do whatever you can to keep your immune system as healthy as you can.”
Estefan has now tested negative twice since last week.
During her long career, Estefan has sold more than 100 million records, with 38 No. 1 hits on the Billboard charts. She is a seven-time Grammy-winning singer, actress, songwriter, and author of two New York Times bestselling children’s books.

It was like a flu and who knows where you pick that up at. I just know these lockdowns are bullshit. If you don’t feel good stay home so you don’t spread it. I believe this was 80% politics to favor the dems.
My taste buds are funny, I have a cough, and I need to hydate a lot due to my diabetes meds, but I’m in a houseful of cats and I can tell you, my sense of smell is as acute as it ever was.

In reality, a negative test is not a surprise. If you get symptoms and you get a rapid test early on, it could be negative while you’re rancid with Chinese Frankenvirus.

My cousin got the Chinese Frankenvirus. It gave her a cough, fever and that characteristic loss of taste and smell. She and her two boys whipped its ass just fine.

Just get an antibody test and a note if you’re antibody-positive — some people fight this without forming antibodies.
If you’re antibody positive, you can then strut your butt round the grocery store without having to wear a mask.
My gosh! I can hardly wait for the movie. I just hope it’s true to the book.
haha I’m actually having a good time strutting my butt around with my Trump2020 mask on. I may check the test out but really don’t want to be on a list. There’s no need for it. Hopefully there will never be a need for it.

We are seeing and experiencing the black magic of Madison Avenue. The powers of mass persuasion have been indeed perfected. Madison avenue sold the food pyramid, gave us diabetes, sold cigarettes, gave us lung cancer, sold ozone depletion to force mass refrigerant re formulation. Sold global warming. Now Covid. What’s next? I shutter to think what’ next. The techniques are perfected, the people are stupid and money is to be made power to be amassed.

When I saw the Doors at the Family Dog in Denver on December 31st, 1967, there wasn’t **anybody** that old on the cutting edge of music.
Nor were we listening to fifty-year-old music, as we do today.
Seems like somewhere along the way the Muses died.
