World leaders should declare a “climate emergency” in their countries to spur action to avoid catastrophic global warming, UN Secretary-General António Guterres said in opening remarks at a climate summit on Saturday.
On the fifth anniversary of the 2015 Paris Agreement, more than 70 world leaders are due to address the one-day virtual meeting in the hope of galvanizing countries into stricter actions on global warming emissions.
Guterres said that current commitments across the globe did not go “far from enough” to limit temperature rises.
“Can anybody still deny that we are facing a dramatic emergency?” Guterres said. “That is why today, I call on all leaders worldwide to declare a State of Climate Emergency in their countries until carbon neutrality is reached.” […]
“So far, the members of the G20 are spending 50% more in their stimulus and rescue packages on sectors linked to fossil fuel production and consumption, than on low-carbon energy,” Guterres said.
“This is unacceptable. The trillions of dollars needed for COVID recovery is money that we are borrowing from future generations,” he said. “We cannot use these resources to lock in policies that burden future generations with a mountain of debt on a broken planet,” he added. …

The only “climate emergency” facing these world leaders is the one they are going to experience if they don’t put Jesus in their lives. Hell just about does it for the Richter scale of warmness.
Remember, many of those predictions came true. The “dire famine” in such countries as the People’s Republic of China, Democratic Kampuchea, and much of Eastern Europe, large swaths of Africa, and now Venezuela resulted from Communism and warfare, not climate change.
We are now in an ice age despite partial relief over the past several millennia of the present interglacial. If you don’t agree, then try farming in the lowland plains of Antarctica, the interior of Greenland, or even Baffin island.
Acid rain indeed killed life in lakes, especially in and downwind of those areas with Communist governments and their inhuman environmental policy. The same phenomenon probably is occurring today in and near the People’s Republic of China with its people slowly choking on a stifling cocktail of air pollution and toxic waters. People don’t talk about that effect of Communist governance because of the dictatorial Communist repression of speech, press, and other forms of expression.
Children will not know what snow is if they move to tropical lands and lack an education.
Given that the planet still exists, I suppose that we’ve saved it successfully from catastrophe, although I doubt that our success owed to any conscious action on our part. Some of these “predictions” just use foreboding language to describe normal phenomena. “The cooling,” for example, occurs seasonally in most parts of the world except the equatorial deep tropics. And the Scottish highlands on Great Britain already experience a climate in some ways comparable to the warmest parts of Siberia.

These solar plants are eliminating millions of acres of valuable farm land. What a mistake.

I have passed by these disgusting solar fields on once rich farm land in NJ and wind turbans pocking beautiful forest land for miles and miles in Upstate NY making it a hideous eyesore.
Liberal fascists are already pushing the policies they want under the “Great Reset” citing the impact of the Wuhan virus.
