My personal choice is Mark Steyn. But I’d love to hear the comments from others about who they would like behind the EIB network microphone.
How about Mike Gallagher? 5 min. of indignation sprinkled in over 55 min. of relief factor commercials and plugging his Israel trip.
...or better yet Hugh Hewitt, the home of political androgyny.
...or even better yet John Stossel, the condescending arrogant elitist know it all good for nothing.
Tough to pick which one is the worst honestly.

If there is such a thing as a replacement for Rush he will come up through the system or will circumvent it as Rush did.
Let us bury him first.
Anybody have a link for “Rush the Knife”?
impossiblt task... I’ve listened to Talk Radio for 30 years, and there is/was only one person who was over 50% of Rush... but he is dead to...(Mark Scott WXYT AM 1270 Det.)...
I know a lot of people here have their sitting on the edge of their seat pics, but all will result in a sigh at noon when I go to tune in... Common sense had one voice. ...and now he’s gone...
Bongino would be good except he's facing some health issues of his own.
Bill Whittle
Tammy Bruce
Bongino if he’s healthy
Mark Steyn
Katherine will be on Monday telling her favorite stories of Rush.
President Donald J Trump
Nobody even comes close and I’m heartbroken to lose such a great friend who accompanied and comforted me throughout each and every day.
I have not heard a single guest host that has been able to hold a candle to the master. Steyn’s schtick grows old quickly and every other host tries way too hard to be cute and come up with their own catchphrases.
Walter Williams was my favorite fill in host and unfortunately he has been taken from this Earth as well.. Also robbing us of a brilliant conservative mind and communicator.
Since Sean Hannitus Interruptus has taken to repeating the exact same talking points every single day ad nauseum the only host who entertains and educates is THE GREAT ONE...Mark Levine. ML is one of the brightest legal minds I have ever listened to and it is my most fervent hope that he will be the one to take Rush Limbaugh’s time slot over.
I believe Rush would approve of this. May he rest in peace.
They will be doing the current format for at least 90 days. Lot’s of retrospective of 33 years of broadcast excellence.
Personally, I hope they shut down EIB. Rush cannot be replaced. He probably cannot even be succeeded.
In my opinion, he didn’t just blaze the trail, he paved the highway for all kinds of excellent conservative talkers. To have some board of directors pick one of them to be the successor is unfair-to us.
By shutting down. the entire spectrum of talk will become wide open. Talkers will get moved around, some will get small and others large syndication deals. Some will disappear and the best will rise to the top. Maybe someday another behemoth will arise but it has to happen organically. He needs to be us and we need to be him. Just like Rush became.
We need the next generation to take up the mantle.
Make the entire show going forward— having several days each of a FACULTY MEMBER of the Rush Limbaugh Institute of Conservative Studies (his title for his “Institution of higher learning”).
Steyn, Todd Herman,Mathews, Bongino, Mark Levin when he is able (and in Constitutional crises issues— when is it NOT now adays?), Knowles,— all the guest hosts Rush approved in the past, and additional graduates he thought highly of, not fake conservatives and Never Trumpers
Expand the market base, for each of these host’s shows, and keep the Rush Limbaugh Show a permanent fixture and royal pain in the a@@ of the increasingly whacked out demonrat Commnists. Permanently- and educating the up and coming young conservatives to be in continuity against the public school onslaught we are suffering under at this point in time.
I found Roger Hedgecock interesting but did not realize that Rush and he parted ways quote awhile ago.
Mark Levin is the smartest conservative on the air now. He is not only a constitutional scholar, he knows American history and recites amazing truths from memory. He carries a lot of clout with real conservatives. Move him from 6pm to high noon. He can’t replace Rush, nobody will. Among a good list on conservative voices, his is the voice we need most! He should now take Rush’s slot!
a big- name is not going to want to do
three hours a day five days a week
I favor a rolling list of hosts, including the top subs like Steyn, Herman, James Golden (Snerdley), etc, and also Don Sr, Don Jr, Eric and Lara, Lou Dobbs, Bongino, General Flynn, Steve Miller, Candace Owens, Kayleigh McEnany, Sarah Sanders, Burgess Owens, Mike Huckabee, Judge Jeanine Piro, Diamond and Silk.
Each host (or duo act like D&S) gets $76,000 per episode (around $20million speakers’ budget, half of what Rush made) and the rest of the contracted budget of $45M would go for increased scheduling, production, publishing and marketing staff, to make sure it keeps going.
Rush developed the audience; the trick now is to hold onto it with excellent conservative content. I doubt that the one-man format could follow him—too much pressure on one man, since Rush was inimitably unique; a different sole personality would risk of losing the audience. A variety of hosts is the best option.
No its not time.
Brett Winterble was very good.
I like Dan Bongino, but I’m afraid his health will be an issue.
I prefer Steve Deace over at The Blaze, but I assume he is locked up there. I dig his more current (80s/90s) pop culture references, but I don’t know if all the Marvel nerdboy stuff would be accepted by Rush’s crowd.
