Where does the conspiracy theory come from?
The belief that Trump will be sworn in on March 4 is rooted in theories promoted by the obscure sovereign citizen movement.
The sovereign citizen movement is a highly-fragmented grouping of Americans who believe taxes, US currency, and even the US government to be illegitimate.
A minority of them believe that laws do not apply to them at all, resulting in the FBI designating some members as "domestic terrorists" and "anti-government extremists."
A central tenet of the movement is that the 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868, converted "sovereign citizens" into "federal citizens."
This belief also goes so far as to dismiss the validity of any presidency after 1868, making Ulysses S. Grant the last valid president.

Why March 4?
Before the 20th Amendment in 1933, all presidents were sworn in on March 4.
It was introduced to shorten the "lame duck" period between elections and the start of new administrations.
Given that followers of the sovereign citizen movement reject all constitutional amendments passed after the 14th amendment, they do not view this date change as legitimate.
QAnon followers, who failed to see Trump inaugurated in January, have recycled the argument and reinvented the next legitimate inauguration date.
They say that on March 4, 2021, Trump will succeed the last legitimate president, Grant, to become the 19th president

I pop over there a couple times a week and they are still basically insisting that Trump is still in control of the military and biding his time (pardon the semi-pun) for his triumphant return to office. You will read things like how Trump engineered the Syria strikes to embarrass Biden and turn his base against him. You will read how U.S. Navy ships are positioned off the coast of Florida, forming a protective cordon around Trump at Mar-A-Lago.
Much hay is being made of the fact that the Constitution requires the president to address the nation during January of February (State of the Union) but only Trump is actually doing that (today, Feb 28).
Interesting reading for those who like Tom Clancy type novels (guilty as charged). But at some point, we are all going to have to deal with the reality of the situation. I don't want to ridicule these people because by and large, they are patriotic Americans who just can't bring themselves to believe that our great nation can allow a presidential election to be stolen (and that it certainly was) and that a so-called pandemic can reduce much of America to a giant flock of bleating sheep holed up at home, scared to go outside, masking themselves when they do, and waiting for their puny gub'mint "relief" checks and their vaccines.
It's a sad state that America is in and I can't blame some people for clinging to a glimmer of hope that the calvary is going to ride to the rescue and give this bad movie a happy ending.
But it's up to us to fix things. Trump did all he could in the time he had but he's just one man. It's up to us to rip those masks off, get back to normal business and start living our lives again. It's up to us to primary the RINOS and turn the GOP into a true MAGA party. It's up to us to reform the election system so that a presidential election is never allowed to be stolen again. It's up to us to form our own social media platforms from which we can organize without fear of being "de-platformed" by the media and Deep State oligarchs.
We are going to have to fight to regain our nation and our freedoms. Sitting on our hands waiting for a very unrealistic scenario to play out is not going to get it done. Trump is not going to come back to the White House anytime soon and certainly not sooner than January 20, 2025. Until then, we have some work to do.

QAnon didn’t energize Trump supporters—it titillated a few crackpots who latched onto this nonsense immediately. In fact, QAnon worked against Trump at every step.
Similar to racist hoax stories, we now have the MSM pushing Qanon hoax stories. Why? Because there aren’t enough real Qanon stories to the MSM to use as a constant bludgeon on conservatives and to push the narrative the election was all on the up and up, and anyone who says otherwise is a kook.
And if Q is simply a LARP, why is the left and its fellow travelers at Free Republic so energized to discredit Q?
