And this gets into what people want to do in terms of jobs and careers. It gets back to people need to get training to get into certain higher paying jobs and careers. And gets back to people setting goals to get education and training to enable them to get those jobs.

It reminds me of another story making the rounds, about a kid in Baltimore who only passed 3 classes in four years of high school. The mother is claiming that the school failed him, and while that might be partially true, the reality is that the parents and the individual have to bear the ultimate responsibility for the success they re to experience.

Progressive politicians are making these proposals because some people believe that it is the answer to their problem. And they will vote for the politicians who act like they have real solutions. But the reality is that when the minimum wage goes to $15.00 an hour, the new costs of things will mean that it will take $20.00 to live beyond a level of poverty.
