Maskless [65 year old] woman arrested in Galveston day after mandate lifted

GALVESTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Just a day after Texas rolled back COVID-19 restrictions, including those mandating face coverings in public, a woman's arrest has emerged stemming from her refusal to wear a mask.

Body camera footage released by Galveston police shows officers confronting the woman inside a Bank of America branch on Central City Boulevard. Advertisement

The footage, taken on Thursday, begins with an officer being directed by a bank manager to the woman. The officer encounters the woman who expresses frustration over being told to wear a mask, invoking the state's lifted mandate.

However, the officer is heard reminding the woman that businesses can refuse service to anyone that does not comply with masking policies, which is something that Gov. Greg Abbott still allowed.

After the woman said she wants to take her money out from the bank, the officer tells her to go get a mask and come back to do so.

With the woman giving pushback, the officer says, "Ma'am, listen, we can do this the easy way or the hard way."

"What are you going to do? Arrest me?" she asks. "That's hilarious."

The confrontation escalates with the woman raising her voice at other bank customers, and that's when it becomes physical.

The woman is taken down to the ground and arrested.

You can watch the full encounter in the video player above.

Police identified the woman as 65-year-old Terry White, who was arrested on a charge of resisting arrest and criminal trespass. Officers added she sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Maskless Lives Matter. Looks like police brutality to me. She should have worn a “Press” label on her shirt. Did the cop really have to take her to the ground. If she were a black senior this would be all over ABCNNBCBS fake news sites.
BofA is a POS bank that is anti 2nd Amendment.

No shirt. No shoes. No mask. No service.

The optics for the cops and the bank are really bad.

Well, Bank of America sure showed that 65 year old woman.

How dare anyone refuse to wear the Fauci facial diaper at Bank of America. /s

If I were a rival local bank next door, I would start running adds about Bank of America and facial diapers, with the silhouette of the CCP flag, Gates, Fauci, and Harris/”Buyden” in the background.

Yep, Spanish flu, San Francisco, late 1918 or early 1919.

I found it a while back while researching the Spanish flu in small prairie towns in Western Canada. I was doing genealogy work and found a couple of relatives had died from it.

T-Mobile is actually the German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom AG.

So in reality, a German company was seeking to go after non-global socialist government, freedom loving Americans.

Also recall East German originated Merkel, absolutely slamming Trump and anti-sovialist American conservatives...

Just like the massive “Foreign and Domestic” vote steal in favor of Buyden, and socialist Ukrainians were involved at the Capitol on January 6, what we liberty loving Americans are really up against here, is a globally coordinated effort to destroy American independence, so to take over and enslave the world.

They have the right to say “take your business elsewhere if you don’t want to wear a mask”, but she can’t do that without wearing the stupid mask.

It may also be rather difficult for her to close her accounts and sever all ties to the bank if she has, say, a 30-year mortgage with the bank.

Regards,

Time to sue the cop and the Bank. The Bank of America really is a leftist craphole.

I would take all my money out and let me family, friends, neighbors and strangers, why!

I can’t see a sustained charge of “criminal trespass” since the woman was in the bank because she had an account there and was attempting to conduct contractual business with them.

This is in her favor re a Floyd George-sized settlement with the police. Injuries, another lawsuit.

For the bank, nothing but another in a continuing stream of bad news stories on how incompetent and stupid they are re their customers.

If I were another bank in the area, I’d have people walking in front of my bank with large signs that says “Our bank ####, doesn’t want our customers arrested and injured by the police.”

The cops won’t like it (at least some of the brass) but the patrolman will understand that you don’t hurt “granny”.

A more friendly bank would have intervened, Manager would have walked up to the officer and say it was okay. “Mrs.X has been a customer here for years, so we will be just fine the way she is.” Instead they just sat there mouths open, and watched one of their customers humiliated and sort of violated too.
The officer was simply doing what they have been told to do.That is their job.

It’s really up to us. I’m one who believes that companies have the right to require masks or hopping on one leg. But businesses that require hopping on one leg would close their doors quickly since no one would shop there. The same with masks if their customers went to another store - but we’re not there yet.

.Just last night, a mother and daughter came by to visit, but sat in their car with just a crack in the window so we could talk. The astonishing thing is that both wore their masks and both were vaccinated in January!!!! They admitted they were incredibly paranoid and scared. It was all I could do not to suggest psychiatric help. They are not alone in their fear.

Until the fear subsides, companies will require masks - it’s that simple. So, it could be a long time.

The business has the right to set its rules. It could mandate that anyone wanting to enter the building had to wear a green hat and red shoes if it wanted. The customers would have the right to terminate their accounts there too, but if they wanted to do so by entering the business they’d still have to wear the colorful shoes and hat.

Just a curiosity, and I’m not defending either side here ... when a person deposits money in a bank, the money becomes property of the bank, as a matter of law. The depositor retains strong rights to reclaim, but until one takes posession again, the money is technically the bank’s money.

For hundreds of years there was not software that can recognise a single face out of billions in a few seconds using only the features above your nose. Facial matching uses anywhere from 10 to 50 parameters and a match can and usually does be made with just the occular parameters. The eyes iris spacing, spacing, eye socket spacing, diameters, relative tilt and on and one. Wearing a mask over the nose and mouth has nearly a zero effect on facial matching the ears are also a key match point as is the outline of the skull to face interface. Why do you think banks even now make people remove dark glasses it’s not that they want to to squint it’s the eyes metrics are the match points and they are as unique under fine analysis as fingerprints. Antifa knows this thus the balaclava type masks that cover the ears, eyes and skull face interface. Making it nearly impossible to match on. A face diaper is effectively zero hindrance for a computer to face match with.

In Texas you can use till your heart is content but if you lose the lower pays ALL the legal costs of the suit including the.costs of your opponent of the jury allows those to be passed over and they are most of the time. I’m a real conservative and hold private property rights to be Supreme and I know hundreds of.others who also own businesses and feel the same way. In Texas you can jury shop as well with a good attorney this woman would lose and lose big time here with BOA attorneys having a field day with jury selection in civil trial. I’d vote for BOA every time , they are only required to return her funds and to do that she must honor her side of the contract with the requirements of the property owner for presence. She could have a electronic transfer of her funds set up with another institution and never have set foot in BOA again BOA is only required to process that transaction and they would.
